A speeding ticket costs more than the detector
The average speeding fine across the US, UK and Australia sits between $150 and $300 once court costs and the insurance increase are counted — and the insurance penalty follows you for years. The McFlash 360 costs $59.00 once. It pays for itself the first time it keeps a citation off your record.
It is built for the driver who is not trying to break the law, but who does not want a two-mile-per-hour lapse on an unfamiliar road turning into a fine: commuters, long-distance drivers, delivery and rideshare drivers, road-trippers and anyone who drives a car that attracts attention.
Detection covers X, K, Ka and Ku radar bands plus laser (LiDAR) and VG-2, with antennas front, rear and side for a full 360-degree sweep. That matters because modern enforcement rarely comes from directly ahead — instant-on Ka from a following cruiser and side-fired laser are the two that catch drivers out. When a signal is picked up, the detector calls the band aloud and shows frequency and signal strength on the red LED so you know whether it is a real threat or a supermarket door.
City mode suppresses the low-level K-band noise that makes cheap detectors unusable in traffic; highway mode restores full sensitivity for open-road Ka detection and speed camera alerts. Setup is a suction mount, a 12V plug and about two minutes — no hardwiring, and it moves between vehicles freely.

- 01
Mount it
Press the suction bracket onto the windshield or drop the unit on the dash pad. No drilling, no trim removal, no shop visit.

Plug it in
One cable into the 12V socket. McFlash powers up, self-tests the antennas and is scanning before you leave the driveway.

Pick City or Highway once. From then on you get a spoken band callout and signal bars the moment radar or laser touches the car.
What drivers say after a month
Feedback from owners across the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
“Picked up Ka-band about half a mile before the cruiser was even visible over the rise. That is the whole reason I bought it.”

“I commute 120 miles a day. It has already flagged three speed traps I would have walked straight into on autopilot.”

McFlash vs the $400 detectors
The premium brands build excellent hardware. The question is how much of it you actually use on a daily commute — and what you pay for the badge.

Before you buy
Check the law where you drive and learn what the alerts actually mean — the two things that decide whether a detector earns its place on your windshield.
Is it legal where I drive?
McFlash questions, answered
Are radar detectors legal where I drive?
In most of the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada (outside Quebec, Manitoba, PEI, Newfoundland and the territories) and New Zealand, using a radar detector in a private passenger car is legal. They are prohibited in Virginia and Washington, D.C., in commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs, on US military bases, and in most Australian states. Check the guide for your country before ordering.
How long does installation take?
About two minutes. The suction bracket presses onto a clean windshield, the unit clips in, and the 12V cable plugs into your accessory socket. No wiring, no tools, no permanent fitting — you can move it between vehicles.
Will it beep constantly in town?
No. City mode drops sensitivity on the bands used by automatic doors and blind-spot monitors, so the false alerts that make cheap detectors unusable are filtered out. Highway mode restores full range when you are out of town.
Does it detect laser (LiDAR) speed guns?
Yes, it detects laser as well as X, K, Ka and Ku radar and VG-2. A detector warns you that laser has been fired; it does not jam it. Laser jammers are separate devices and are illegal in many places — see our laser jammer guide.
Can I use it on a motorcycle or in an RV?
It works in any vehicle with a 12V socket, including RVs, vans and pickups. On a motorcycle the display and speaker are hard to use safely, so we do not recommend it. It must not be used in commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs in the US.
What warranty and returns do I get?
Every unit carries a 2-year hardware warranty against manufacturing faults, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it is not right for you within 30 days, email us for a return authorisation and we refund the product price.
How fast is shipping and what does it cost?
Shipping is free worldwide with tracking. The US, UK, Canada and Ireland typically receive orders in 3-7 business days; Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Europe in 5-10 business days.
Will I be charged customs or duty?
Prices are charged in USD. Orders shipped outside the US may attract local import VAT or duty, which is set by your country and paid to the carrier on delivery. Most Tier-1 destinations clear low-value parcels like this without a charge.
Legal use
McFlash is sold for use in privately-owned passenger vehicles. It is prohibited in Virginia and Washington, D.C., in any commercial vehicle over 10,000 lbs, on US military installations, and in most Australian states. Check the rules where you drive.
